Debunking myths: do EVs really catch fire?

EVs  are inherently safe to charge and operate, however on rare occasions  significant damage to the high voltage lithium-ion battery pack can catch  fire, a process called thermal runaway. In this keynote, EV FireSafe director  Emma Sutcliffe will explain how thermal runaway occurs, the likelihood of it  occurring, how EV drivers and riders can stay safer around lithium-ion  battery technology.
