The upcoming 2026 Leapmotor B10 is set to shake up the Australian EV market by becoming the country’s most budget-friendly electric SUV, with prices starting from just $38,990 drive-away. Arriving in showrooms this November, the B10 undercuts several existing competitors and offers impressive features and range at an entry-level price.
The B10 slots below the Leapmotor C10 mid-size SUV, positioned in the small SUV category. It's slightly bigger than the BYD Atto 3 and more compact than the Geely EX5, giving it a strong presence among electric crossovers. It’s backed by Stellantis, the automotive group behind Jeep, Peugeot, Ram, and more.
The entry-level B10 Style comes with a 56.2kWh battery, offering an NEDC-rated range of 442km, which translates to around 361km under WLTP standards. The higher-end B10 Design LR steps up to a 67.1kWh battery, providing up to 516km (NEDC) or roughly 434km (WLTP) of estimated range.
(Drive-away pricing includes all on-road costs)
This pricing makes the B10 cheaper than rivals like the Chery E5 Urban (from $39,011 in the ACT), MG S5 EV ($40,490), and Hyundai Inster ($39,000 + on-roads).
Both versions are powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 160kW and 240Nm, with a claimed 0–100km/h time of 8.0 seconds. AC charging supports up to 11kW, while DC fast charging is rated at 140kW for the Style and 168kW for the Design LR. A 30–80% charge takes just 20 minutes under ideal conditions.
Measuring 4515mm in length and with a 2735mm wheelbase, the B10 is one of the largest options in the small SUV category, exceeding the Hyundai Kona Electric (4355mm) and MG S5 EV (4476mm) in size.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will not be included at launch but are scheduled for an OTA update in January 2026.
